HCL consultants, on behalf of the European Asylum Support Office is searching for determined candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Holding a bachelor degree in social work;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in first line activities in reception centres for applicants for international protection;
  • Good knowledge of the legal international & European framework regarding international protection and the Common European Asylum System;
  • Good intercultural communication skills;
  • Fluent in English (oral and written);
  • Experience in coping with potentially stressful and tense situations;
  • Organisational skills;
  • Being flexible and able to work in different settings;
  • Being able to maintain a high level of confidentiality;
  • Capable to work in multi-disciplinary teams in a multi-cultural environment;
  • International experience is advantageous;

  • Key expert 2: Accountability Expert; Category I (30 working days)
    Expert in Accountability with at least a relevant Master’s degree (or equivalent), fluent in English, with 12 years of international working experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Economic Management, Resource Mobilisation and Allocation, Accounting, Audit and Anti-corruption; experience in the evaluation of national – or sector – level strategies in at least 2 of the aforementioned areas required.
  • Key expert 3: Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS) Expert; Category I (33 working days)
    JLOS expert with at least a University Degree in Law, fluent in English, with at least 10 years of international working experience in reforms/programs aimed at increasing the accessibility of JLOS service delivery; experience in medium-term JLOS sector strategic plans/ investment plans evaluation and Human Rights Based Approaches (HRBA) expertise are essential. Proven work in human rights compliance and accountability in the JLOS sector required.
