Assistance Mechanism for the Western Mediterranean Sea basin (AMWM)
HCL ushers a new era of Blue Growth in the Western Mediterranean
This project is about: Promoting sustainable development within the blue economy of the Western Mediterranean Sea basin, by addressing the needs and requests of stakeholders for guidance on blue economy financing, investments in blue growth, project development, and creating valuable networks.
Context: Blue Growth is the long term strategy to support sustainable growth in the marine and maritime sectors as a whole. Seas and oceans are drivers for the European economy and have great potential for innovation and growth. In the same vein, the concept of Blue Growth and a Blue Economy is gaining traction worldwide, and HCL/ Pescares is a front-runner in the policy and programming shift, by pushing forward coordination of all the involved sectors, and enhancing cooperation among policy actors nationally and regionally.
